WNBA Rookie Class Watch 1st Month Look

The WNBA season in officially one month in, and the rookie class continues to be the headliners of the season.


Obviously, most of the eyeballs are on Indiana Fever's 1st overall pick, Caitlin Clark however, Chicago Sky's Angel Reese is also being watched to a lesser degree.


Through the first month of the WNBA season, let's look at how this rookie class is doing.


Caitlin Clark is averaging 15.6 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, and 6.0 assist per game. Clark leads all rookie in points and assists.


Angel Reese is averaging 12.2 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game while leading all rookies in double-doubles.


The Los Angeles Sparks duo of Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson is to watch out West.

Brink is averaging 7.5 points per games, 5.6 rebounds per game, but she leads all rookies in blocks at 2.7 blocks per game.

Jackson is averaging 9.8 points per game while shooting 46.5% from the field


Then there's Aaliyah Edwards of the Washington Mystics who is averaging 9.1 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, and 1.1 blocks per game. Edwards leads all rookies in shooting percentage at 52.1% from the field.


The debate for Rookie of the Year is a two woman race currently between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese after one month of professional basketball played. Clarks leads in points, assists, and three-point shooting, but also leads in turnovers with 5.5 turnovers per game.


Angel Reese leads in double-doubles and is arguably the most constant player of the rookie class thus far despite Clark being the face of the league by sports media.
