NBA Fight Night 2

Exactly one day after Dillon Brooks and Donovan Mitchell got into an altercation, another incident took place in Minnesota. Orlando Magic's Mo Bamba and Minnesota Timberwolves' Austin Rivers got into a fight after a T-Wolves turnover. The fight led to 5 players being ejected from the game as the Magic went on to win the game 127-120.

Here's how it went down:

With 1:32 left in the 3rd quarter, Bamba and Rivers got into a fight over by the Magic's bench. This right around the same time when the T-Wolves had turned the ball over when Rudy Gobert passed the ball between Anthony Edwards' legs out of bounds. The fight started when Rivers jogged over to the Magic's bench intentionally. No one truly knows what sparked this altercation between the two players, but it's clear that Rivers walked into the bench on purpose and things went off from. Punches were thrown by Bamba to Rivers before Rivers threw punches back.

Now when the fight happens several players come in to attempt to break the fight in an aggressive manner. Magic's Jalen Suggs was first on the scene pulling and taking down Rivers from Bamba. Then the T-Wolves' Jalen McDaniels and Trauren Prince join the fray in attempts to separate players. Coaches from both sides join in to separate players and deescalate the situation.

The refs reviewed the footage and announced the ejections of Mo Bamba and Jalen Suggs of the Magic and Austin Rivers, Jalen McDaniels, and Trauren Prince of the T-Wolves.

The Magic held 10-point lead at that moment and time at 83-73 and led at the end of the 3rd quarter, 90-75. The T-Wolves would 45 points in the 4th quarter but would end up losing the game by 7 points. Cole Anthony led the way 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists off the bench. Mo Wagner contributed 19 points off the bench as well.

It will be interesting to see how the league and Commissioner Adam Silver will do in this situation as one day ago Dillon Brooks and Donovan Mitchell got into it after Brooks swung at Mitchell's groin are. In that case, Brooks has been suspended for one game and Mitchell was fined $20,000 by the NBA. You can probably believe that these punishments to come will be more severe than Brooks and Mitchell.

The Playmaker, Darnell Sallins will discuss this incident along with the Brooks/Mitchell incident, and Kyrie Irving on our upcoming episode of Shooting Lights Out on Monday.
