As the Olympic break in the WNBA officially begins, the last game before the break was a high-scoring affair. Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were in Dallas to face Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings. A game that will be remembered for the scoring affair by both teams, historic performance by Clark, but more importantly costly turnovers in the final moments as the Wings won 101-93.

A historic performance by Caitlin Clark with 24 points, 19 assists, and 6 rebounds. The 19 assists broken the WNBA record for most assists in a single game. The record was held by Courtney Vandersloot back in 2020 as a member of the Chicago Sky against Indiana. This will be a night the Clark forget, not because of the historic performance she displayed, but how she and the Fever finished the game.

With 36 seconds, down by 4 points, Clark dribbles the basketball in a crowd of white jerseys and turns the ball over which led to free-throws for the Wings, pushing the lead to 6 points. Now down 8 points at 101-93, Clark tries to fit the ball into NaLyssa Smith and Natasha Howard picks it off and the game ends.

Two turnovers in the final seconds of a competitive, thrilling game will stick with Clark during this month-long break as the Fever loss to a 5-win team in the Dallas Wings.

Aliyah Boston had a career-high in Wednesday's game with 28 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Smith provided a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

For the winning side in the Dallas Wings, Odyssey Smith and Arike Ogunbowale both scored 24 points each moving their record to 6-19 going into the break. Natasha Howard added 17 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals.
