FC Dallas settles for a draw in Colorado

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

FC Dallas is preparing to play their first home game of the season against Chicago. They kicked off their 2025 campaign with a brilliant 2-1 win over Houston but settled for a 3-3 draw against Colorado. After two games, FC Dallas is in 4th place in the MLS' Western Conference standings.

Colorado was up 2-0 in the 39th minute. Amazingly, FC Dallas made it 2-2 just before half-time. Pedrinho and Luciano Costa would score for FC Dallas to level the score. Costly errors are what allowed FC Dallas to be in a two-goal deficit, but the resilience kicked in and it paid off when Pedrinho and Costa put their team back into the game.

FC Dallas had momentum going into the second half. Petar Musa put FC Dallas in front in the 68th minute, only for Colorado to respond three minutes later. At that point, the score was 3-3. FC Dallas' potential fourth goal was nullified due to offside and the game soon ended. The final result is frustrating for FC Dallas, but their overcoming a two-goal deficit can't be overlooked. But their defensive miscues can't be ignored either.

"The mentality to win games is what I believe in, and that is what we want to have for the rest of the year," FC Dallas Coach Eric Quill said after the match. "The guys were not happy with the draw tonight, and that shows you where we are going."

FC Dallas will play their next two games at home. A win against Chicago will boost their confidence and a win against Vancouver on the 15th will surely put FC Dallas in a good position. Starting off with 3 wins in the first four games of the season is a terrific start for the club.
