Week 12 of the college football season is massive in the race for the College Football Playoffs and first round byes. Headline matchups include Tulane at Navy in the American, Clemson at Pitt in the ACC, Boise State at San Jose State in the Mountain West and the Game of the Week in the SEC, Tennessee at Georgia.
Coming in with a 69-41 record through 110 games picked, a 62.7-win percentage this season in picks.
My Week 12 College Football Picks
25. Tulane (8-2; 6-0 American) at Navy (7-2; 5-1 American)
I like Tulane to remain unbeaten in the American and keeping pace with Army. Navy hit a wall since the Notre Dame game.
3. Texas (8-1; 4-1 SEC) at Arkansas (5-4; 3-3 SEC)
I like Texas to win comfortably. Arkansas will put up a decent fight, but the Longhorns have the playmakers.
20. Clemson (7-2; 6-1 ACC) at Pitt (7-2; 3-2 ACC)
I like the fighting Dabos of Clemson to win on the road. Pitt is struggling and can't find the answers.
Virginia (5-4) at 8. Notre Dame (8-1)
Notre Dame wins going away
22. LSU (6-3; 3-2 SEC) at Florida (4-5; 2-4 SEC)
Despite being a Gator fan, I'm taking LSU to win even if DJ Lagway plays with hamstring injury
Missouri (7-2; 3-2 SEC) at 21. South Carolina (6-4; 4-3 SEC)
I'm rolling with the Gamecocks as they have been on a roll lately.
Arizona State (7-2; 4-2 Big 12) at 16. Kansas State (7-2; 4-2 Big 12)
I like K-State at home in Manhattan to win to close game. Arizona State has been quietly good, but Kansas State is a step up in competition for the Sun Devils.
13. Boise State (8-1; 5-0 Mountain West) at San Jose State (6-3; 3-2 Mountain West)
Riding with the Broncos of Boise here. Jeanty is a Heisman favorite, and no one has been able to stop him. The Spartans are outmatched and outclassed in this one.
Cincinnati (5-4; 3-3 Big 12) at Iowa State (7-2; 4-2 Big 12)
I am going to take the Cyclones here. Both teams are struggling down the stretch. This is Big 12 elimination game and with the game being Ames, Iowa State wins.
Spotlight Game of the Week
7. Tennessee (8-1; 5-1 SEC) at 12. Georgia (7-2; 5-2 SEC)
Tough one to choose, but in Athens, coming off another loss in the season, give me the Bulldogs. It's rare since the Kirby Smart era that Georgia has lost two at this point in the season. Tennessee is coming off a bye week which could help them. Nevertheless, I can't see Georgia losing back-to-back games especially with this one being at home.
We polled the fans through social media to vote on the Spotlight Game of the Week. 69% of the votes with for Georgia to defeat Tennessee in the massive SEC showdown in Athens.
